In honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, I would like to take a moment to pause and celebrate the remarkable histories, vibrant cultures, and enduring impact of Indigenous peoples. I’m especially grateful to share these voices and stories—not just as a voiceover artist, but as someone with Catawba and Cherokee heritage on my paternal side.

Bringing stories to life

Audiobook cover "Sacajawea: It's Her Story" narrated by professional voice actor Shelley Baldiga

Storytelling and community have always been at the heart of Indigenous culture, and that connection inspires me deeply. One of my proudest moments was being a finalist at the One Voice Awards for Best Audiobook Performance—Factual, where I had the privilege of bringing the courageous story of Sacajawea to life. Her journey—and the journeys of so many others—reflect incredible strength and spirit, something I’m honored to share.

Let’s keep listening, learning, and celebrating the power of all stories and voices.
